The United States of America (USA)
The non-resident visa is of two types –
- 0-1A – For professionals in science, business, education, and athletics(excluding those in arts, film industries, and motion pictures).
- 0-1B – For professionals in arts(including those in films industries and motion pictures).
Requisites for 0-1 Visa
Candidates must at least fulfil three of the following conditions:
- The individual must possess a national or international award in their respective field of work.
- One must have had their accomplishments published or showcased in conventional media.
- Must have made extensive contributions in their respective field.
- He must have worked in a respectable association that demands highly qualified experts.
- He must have made high remuneration for their service.
Some other proof of expertise and professionalism, other than these, can also work.
Validity
The talent visa for the USA is valid for three years. However, if granted for a specific event or project, the validity may be less.
Australia
The Global Talent Visa program categorizes into two parts:
The Global Talent Stream – Preceded in 2019, the Global Talent Stream is for skilled professionals and PhD graduates with global prominence in one of the ten fields as given:
Defence; agricultural technology; energy; health industries; quantum information; advanced IT; infrastructure; entertainment; financial service; or education.
There are about 1,500 spots available under the Global Talent Visa program.
The Distinguished Talent Stream – This talent visa is for internationally recognized artists, athletes, and researchers.
This talent stream is of two parts –
- 858 – When given this visa, individuals must be in Australia.
- 124 – When granted this visa, individuals must be outside Australia.
There are about 200 spots available every year in the Distinguished Talent Visa Program.
Requisites for the Distinguished Talent Stream(124)
- Candidates must have expertise and achievement in one of the following sections: arts, academics, arts, or sports.
- Have knowledge of practical English and if they don’t know this, there can be additional charges.
- If the individual is below 18 or above 55 years of age, he must benefit the Australian community in some way or the other.
- He must be chosen by an Australian permanent citizen, a qualified New Zealand immigrant, or an Australian society with a national reputation in the individual’s field of work.
Validity
With both these two types of talent visas, you can stay in Australia permanently.
The United Kingdom(UK)
The Global Talent Visa is for talented individuals with exceptional skills in their work line.
Requisites for the Global Talent Visa
- If you declared one’s public approval as:
- An acknowledged leader
- An appearing leader
- The individual must be from outside the European Economic Area(EEA) and Switzerland.
- The individual must hold any distinguished prize to apply for the visa without going through the approval stage.
How to get one’s public approval?
Candidates do not require any sponsor, but they need to be endorsed by one of the following given bodies –
- The Royal Society, for science and medicine
- The Royal Academy of Engineering, for engineering
- The British Academy, for humanities
- Tech Nation, for digital technology
- Arts Council England, for arts and culture
- UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), for research applicants
- British Fashion Council, for fashion
- Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), for architecture
- Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT), for film and television
Validity
This visa gives you 1-5 years of stay.
Plus, you can make an extension of 1-5 years.
France
The Research Talent Passport is for individuals who want to achieve a higher degree or PhD or teach in France.
Requisites for the Research Talent Passport
One must be willing to pursue a doctorate and be a professor or researcher.
Validity
This visa can help you stay for an ample amount of time.
During the first three months of your stay, you can travel anywhere in the Schengen area in France, and after that, there’s a residency permit that’ll allow you to travel outside of France.

China
The Talent R Visa is for candidates who possess technoscientific qualities.
Requisites for the Talent R Visa
Eligible people who meet the given requirements can get the Talent R Visa:
- Non-ethnic Chinese(this means that the individual must not have any genetic link related to China; there must be no Chinese Family History)
- The individual must be below 65 years of age.
- Become a doctorate outside China.
- The Chinese Government should have invited him.
- He must be a recognized professional(including a Nobel Prize winner, a professor from the world’s top 200 universities, a scholar from the Academy of Science or Academy of Engineering from other countries)
Validity
The work visa or residence permit is between 2-5 years of validity.
If individuals want to enter and leave China several times, they can get a multiple-entry visa of 5 years, with each stay of up to 180 days.
