Experience #5 -Experience Of A Blogger!

Profession: Blogging

Experience: 4 years

Location: Nigeria, Abuja

I have been blogging since 2014, that’s for the past 4 years on and off but I got serious this year bought a domain in March and moved from a free host to a self-hosted WordPress site in October

The Hard part i feel about this profession as per my experience till now is:

The hardest part has been getting traffic to my site after I have created relevant fresh content and also creating SEO optimized posts. I have also struggled with understanding the technicalities and intricacies of blogging

Things one might find interesting or feel “happy” about this profession is :

It gives you an opportunity to help others it brings joy to your life. It’s a good business it pays a lot in due time. You get to meet and interact with a lot of people from different parts of the world.

It’s just so fulfilling when you start seeing readers and people who believe in you and the content you share with them.

Pros And Cons which I feel about this profession is :

Its cons are fewer than it’s pros for the cons it is a lot of hard work. It’s time-consuming and money draining. Makes me spend a lot of time on social media. Creating content isn’t easy, sometimes I have the writer’s block.

For the Pros. I enjoy it. It gives me a sense of purpose. It’s my life passion I wouldn’t want to do anything else. You get to work with lots of brands and get paid a lot of money and get products for free sometimes hahaha.

What my personal experience says about this profession :

Blogging is a beautiful thing, it’s a profession for people who are passionate about writing, and people who love to inspire others through creating inspiring and relevant content.

It pays financially but you must never go into blogging because of the money, money doesn’t come easy, it takes time and so makes sure it’s the passion and love for the career that drives you.
